JS MGMT Rebrand

During my internship, I completed a brand redesign for JS Marketing & Management, a sports marketing company focusing primarily on professional soccer players. The redesign encompassed a fresh set of logos, color palettes, typefaces, social media banners, templates, and mockups for potential future merchandise. I worked closely with the company’s owner to ensure every element in the redesign was cohesive, bold, and emphasized the athletic nature of the companies line of work.

Process

Objective:The objective of this project during my internship was to lead a brand redesign for JS Marketing & Management. The owner sought a modernized visual identity for the company’s website and social media platforms. The redesign encompassed the creation of a new logo with multiple variations tailored for different applications, updated social media templates and banners, as well as mockups for potential merchandise to be offered in the future.

Inspiration: The inspiration for this redesign was largely influenced by the world of sports and professional athletes, resulting in a clean, bold design with a sporty, dynamic flair, reflecting the brand’s focus on serving professional athletes. We also looked to established athletic brands such as Klutch Sports Group and Adidas for inspiration, particularly their minimalist design approach and the effective use of neutral and metallic color palettes. Many of the concepts for the social media templates were derived from the company’s existing templates, as well as ideas sourced from design platforms like Pinterest, Bēhance, and Canva.

Details: To develop these magazine spreads, I utilized a range of applications within the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, alongside Canva for certain design elements. I held weekly meetings with the owner to ensure my designs aligned with her vision for the company and to discuss progress. During these meetings, we would brainstorm ideas, review my work, and determine the direction for the project moving forward. I leveraged my graphic design expertise to create mockups and multiple design options at each stage, refining the materials based on the preferences and feedback I received.

The logo design included several variations to ensure versatility across different applications. The typefaces used in the logo, social media templates, and website were “Sporty Pro” and “Play” for prominent text, and “Helvetica Neue” for smaller text. “Sporty Pro” and “Play” were chosen for their modern, athletic feel, aligning with the company’s focus, while “Helvetica Neue” was selected for its clarity and timeless quality, making it highly legible across various platforms.

At the conclusion of the project, I delivered a comprehensive presentation to the company owner, showcasing my work and providing a detailed set of Brand Guidelines for future reference. This included slides outlining all logo variations, social media templates, banners, and mockups. Additionally, I created a custom Google Slides template for the company, designed to support business presentations and client recruitment efforts, further strengthening the brand’s visual identity and consistency.
